Many plot points felt unrealistic and I didn’t like how it handled darker topics (especially pedophilia). Eliah weaves all her novels with realism; characters that you can believe in where nothing is ever rushed or missed. Der Schreibstil der Autorin, wie die Story aufgestellt war, die Emotionen und DIE BRIEFE… all das hat dafür gesorgt, dass ich durch die Seiten geflogen bin. When the female lead's younger sister is dealing with domestic abuse and violence their solution is they just want the situation to be over and to let it go, even at the point where the same abuser drugs and tries to assault the female lead. I'm barley scratching the surface with this review, but I implore you all to take a chance on this book!

I NEED to know what happens to all the other couples -- seriously all of these characters will totally consume you! Since I’m an emotional rater, I was leaning to 2 stars but Imma change it to 3 since it was entertaining. On the other hand, she's ready to do anything for those she loves including losing her dreams just to protect them. When the inevitable happens, and they found out who the other one is, it only heightens their relationship.i was surprised with how deep some of the letters Xavier and Aveena had; i knew from the blurb they were trading secrets through these letters, but i was satisfied because i personally love it when couples have deep conversations that make you think.

This made for such an intriguing dynamic- we get to see our would be lovers exist in two different realities- the beautifully intimate, sweet, sincere relationship of penpals who can be there true selves under the guise of anonymity and the popular jock and wallflower with a complicated past that somehow now find themselves with mutual friends. He wasn't afraid to be who he was, did he always handle it the best way, maybe not, he was someone who could make you feel a little angry but also someone you sympathize with as well as understand why he is the way he is. She is so angry she pens a hateful letter to said teacher and accidentally leaves the letter in the book and leaves the book in the library. The only reason I say it’s new adult rather than young adult is because there is sex, partying, etc. Alright, in my more rational moments when the PTSD associated with wooden spoons isn't still clouding my vision, I can recognize that's not entirely true.He was still appealing and sexy as well, and I fell in love with his character, although he could have fought a little hard during the climax of the story. I am a total sucker for Anonymous letters, romance letters and anything with writing to one another before you meet and this was *chefs kiss*- cause not only did it have this between the two leads but they had in-fact met before, went to the same school and were once close. Xavier was different from other hs hero’s, he was a realistic character as well and at the end he broke up with Aveena but also made the right decision afterwards . Vee is a loner, who has her one best friend by her side while being the wallflower that everyone ignores.

When a guy like that sees a girl like you, a girl who doesn’t look easy or desperate, they get intimidated. Unfortunately, the last half of the novel was unstructured and the several "break ups" seemed contrived and made no sense at all.If you're looking for a high school bully romance filled with a lot of drama but also funny and steamy moments, then this is the book for you! I also enjoyed the side characters and hope she will continue with them and make it an interconnected series.

Also, the fact, how one could spill those things on paper and put it in a book in the public library and expect no one to find it (other than the person it was meant for off course). I mean sure you can have a bad side and geeky side, but please don’t make comments like ‘… would he ever fall in love with the nerd? If you love a good enemies-to-lovers love story this is definitely the one for you so go grab it and inhale it like I did – you won’t be disappointed. This book is highly recommended on booktok, and after a few hours, I finally got my hands on the ebook.
