Printing with Klipper has improved this problem and generally increased the surface accuracy somewhat, but ringing has become much stronger. Klipper alone is not a miracle solution here. I was actually surprised by the result with the accelerometer. The ringing is extremely improved and the surface quality is as good as with a very slow print without Klipper. This is a brilliant feature of Klipper that can use an accelerometer you attach to the print head to measure the printers’ resonance frequencies. Klipper uses these results for so-called Input Shaping, which sends a signal that cancels the printers’ own vibrations. Before input shaping – notice the ringing or ghosting Lekganyane, M.J. A Study of HVDC Transmission Line Audible Noise and Corona Loss in an Indoor Corona Cage. Master’s Thesis, University of KwaZulu-Natal: Durban, South Africa, 2007. [ Google Scholar] It doesn’t take long and after it’s finished Klipper will automatically configure optimal values , save these values and restart. You only really need to do this again if you adjust belt tension, or move the machine.

The pad stores the recorded videos on the inserted media and they can be played, deleted or exported via the folder icon in the menu on the pad. Before printing, especially at higher speeds, you need to run a resonance test. The test uses an accelerometer to measure the printer’s resonance frequencies. The best explanation I have seen is that it is like active noise cancellation for your 3D printer. The benefit is a reduction in ghosting or ringing you might notice when increasing print speeds and acceleration. A: During printing, adjusting the Z-axis is effective for the current printing, and saving during printing will trigger SAVE_CONFIG, which will disconnect the printer and cause printing failure, so adjust it to save after printing is finished. The big red stop icon is basically a kill switch – the printer will terminate all tasks immediately and Klipper will restart. The Creality Sonic Pad has a 7-inch color touch screen with a resolution of 1024 x 600. The body is made of hard plastic. It is lightweight but has a premium feel. The right side of the unit has two status LEDs and a power button.

Product overview: Fluke ii900 Industrial Acoustic Imager

It is recommended to use Creality Print slicing software, which already adds the required starting Gcode commands by default. The goal of the Sonic Pad is to be as ergonomic as possible while still offering as many technical features as possible. For the most part, this has been achieved both on the hardware level and in the software. Think of it a little like active noise cancellation in headphones. This should reduce the ringing or ghosting you get when you increase print speeds and acceleration. I hope to provide an update after I’ve spent more time with it – there’s so much tweaking you can do with Klipper. And I should be getting FLSUN’s competing product very soon – the Speeder Pad, which I’ll use to upgrade my delta Super Racer.

If the camera problem happens recently, and if you have ever created a restore point or there is an automatic system restore existed, try to restore the computer to a point before the problem began to resolve the problem. Here you can learn more about How to use restore point to restore the system. If the problem persists, please continue the next troubleshooting step. Corona discharge is challenging to detect in daylight because of the low level of visible radiation. High-voltage laboratories often use high-performance digital cameras to find corona discharges at night . Limitations of Sensors and Cameras Used to Detect Corona Discharges As promised Creality has added to the list of the Sonic Pads supported printers. They have added 7 new printers to the list, the Ender-3 Pro, Ender-5 Plus, Ender-3 Max, Ender-3 S1 Plus, CR-10 Smart, CR-10S Pro V2 and CR-10 V3. I’m sure this list will continue to grow, and hopefully we will see more support for non Creality printers. You can also enable thumbnails to view a rendering of the sliced file. This makes it easier to ensure you select the correct print file. Thumbnails can be activated in Cura under Extensions>Post Processing.
